Cyber Security Managers also known as IT Security Managers have all the expertise in cyber security protection, response, detection, and recovery. The responsibilities of a Cyber Security Manager might vary depending on the size of the organization. 


As a Cyber Security Manager for a smaller organization, you may be allowed to take up all the tasks from setting security policy to managing the technical aspects of security. But, in a larger organization, the role of the Cyber Security Manager may be categorized into below 2 types:


A technical security manager: You would be in charge of security systems, such as firewalls, patching, data protection controls, vulnerability scanning, encryption, pen testing, etc in the Cyber Security Jobs. Also, you might be allowed to take care of managing the team that oversees the proper configuration, deployment, and functioning of these systems. 

A program security manager: You might be strategically working in a role that would see you engaged in the world of risk management and mitigation. The job roles carry examining vendor contracts or terms of service, evaluating vendor risk. You might be explaining the third-party risk and data privacy issues, and more to the other teams associated with the project.
